Minimum Requirements for Driver Qualification
A valid class 'A' Commercial
Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state in which you reside.
Must be able to meet the requirements and pass
a DOT (Department of Transportation) Physical Examination.
Have *Verifiable Stable Work History of
Commercial Driving for at least THREE (3) years without an accident which
involved towing, injury or fatality.
A *Verifiable Stable Work History over the
previous TEN (10) years.
Are you able to climb to heights of 8
feet, bend, stoop, sit for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work at
least 10 hours a day?
Are you capable of working irregular
schedules such as nights or weekends when required?
Do you have a Good Moving Violation Record
(MVR) that is free of any **MAJOR offenses or violations for at least the
previous TEN (10) years?
* Verifiable - Must be able to provide
current contact information i.e.; name, address and phone numbers of
previous employer(s)
**Major Violations or Offenses - might
include but are not limited to: Excessive Speeding over the posted limit,
Charges involving the use alcohol or any other controlled substances.
Some alcohol and controlled substance offenses may require additional minimal
requirements.

Additional
Employment Application Report Requirements: All driver
applicants to drive in interstate commerce must provide information on all
employers during the preceding 3 years. Applicants to drive a commercial
motor vehicle in intrastate or interstate commerce shall also provide an
additional 7 years' information on those employers for whom the applicant
operated such vehicle. Additional forms to complete the application
include; Signed Consent forms for; Previous Employment & Safety Verification,
Alcohol & Controlled Substance Testing Records, Background Reports from the PSP
(Pre-Employment Screening Program) Online Service. These
reports are required by Sections 392.413, 391.23, and 391.25 of the Federal
Motor Carriers Safety Regulations.
